 Appearance & Personality[]

In Essos, Myissa is considered an exotic beauty, turning the heads of men and women alike with the fiery hair that burns beneath the Lysene sun. Piercing green eyes rest within a pale, freckled face that seems to never yield youth. Raised since a child to be a slave for others' incessant pleasures, her slender frame finds itself most comfortable wrapped in clothes of risqué and inviting design.

She is neither tall, standing at only 5'4", nor bosomy, but posesses the curvaceous form of a woman grown. There is always a swing to her hips and a sly, mischievous look promising secrets beneath a lacy, hedonist manner.

Beyond the pleasant, suggestive glances lies a mind filled with tangled schemes. Myissa's goal is to see her dreams come to fruition, no matter how dark the path she must follow. To this end, she is a bit enigmatic, able to take the gamut of whatever lewd or proper manner she thinks will aid her most. A mainstay for the woman, however, is that she is never without the silvered, teardrop collar wrapped about her neck.

Being a slave for so long in her early years has had a profound affect on the girl. Myissa flutters between asserting her freedom as free agent and a slave to both religious zeal and paramours. When she finds religion and desire bound together, she becomes a servant to their wishes. No words in Valyrian or any tongue can describe the utter surrender that she possesses for the will of such worldly incarnations.

She has been marked by many men, but perhaps most of all by the sorcerer from Asshai who stained her skin in ink. Black, twisting lines curve up from her legs and around her groin, moving up in criss-crossing lines, paired with incantations of an ancient tongue, until swirling in profane sigils around her hips. Thin, black bands hum with energy, stretching from her sides, to her shoulders, and down to the wrists. Symbols and spells are branded in tiny scrawls beside them all. Her back bears the maw of lion, black and abyssal as it devours the sun.

Beneath that inky visage of a lion lies the largest piece of text on her body, reading: "Beure la llum de mi per complet, i de la boca de la nit, cremar el món amb foc." In the common tongue, it roughly translates to: "Drink my light utterly, and from night's mouth, scorch the world with fire."

Rumors and Sayings[]

It's said that beneath a blood moon, the black lines scarring her skin shift and warp, brimming with power.

Some men refer to her as the jadefire witch for the green flames she summons. They say she steals the souls of men that find themselves in her embrace, and that many are willing to pay that price for even a mere night's pleasure.

Nearby flames will sputter and die sometimes when she dreams, whispering words in unknown, dark tongue.

She stands at the twisting of worlds, both servant to and master over the wills of others.

A shadow man with colorless eyes and daggers engraved with green, glowing spells once tried to murder Myissa. While ultimately unsuccessful, she asked a priest of Rhollor why he made the sudden, unprovoked attempt. The red priest answered it was because of the words on her back.

History[]

Unknown - Her mother and Myissa arrive in Lys on a slave ship. They are both given gilded collars and made to serve in the house of Mounting Sighs. Her mother as a whore, and the seven year old Myissa as a child to gather and wash clothes.

Unknown - One night, a Tyroshi with "young" interests offered a large sum to have Myissa for a night. Her mother caught wind, and disobeying her master to the point of threatening to kill the Tyroshi, was ultimately murdered. That night, Myissa truly learned what it was to be a slave, watching the light fade from her mother's eyes, mouth frozen in shock as the Tyroshi satisfied himself with his purchase.

Unknown - Years passed, and Myissa at the age of twelve was purchased in whole by the same Tyroshi. In the three years that followed, they made their way around the Eastern world, sailing to the Summer Isles and all the way to Asshai in search of treasures that remained hidden in the old world. The Tyroshi eventually found himself on the wrong end of a moonsinger's wrath deep in the shadow lands.

Unknown - Free, but lost, Myissa wandered for days beneath an abyssal sky in the valleys of the shadow. Her only companions were the sounds of terrible, monstrous noises and the glowing, moonlit grasses - taller than two men - that hid her from sight.

Unknown - Starving and thirsty, she laid down to watch the ghost grass' light fade away until death took her. In those final moments, shadows descended in thick, ropey wisps from the sky and revealed the sun, burning and warm against her flesh. She smiled and closed her eyes, opening them when she felt a weight upon her. A great lion of night pressed her to the ground, smoking beneath the noonday sun overhead. The beast bore down between her legs, rupturing her body from within, and tearing into her flesh with ebony claws. Whatever pitiful protests she might have made were drowned by the memory of horrible, echoing roars.

Unknown - Her next memories were fleeting and few, wrapped in shadow and fading like fevered dreams. She saw a woman of light turning away from the world as a lion of shadow scourged the sun overhead. A man conquering lands atop a dragon. Then banners of red and black hanging over mountains of corpses. Olive-skinned women kissing men with poisoned lips. And finally, a great winged beast that drank the sun and breathed fire in a world of perpetual night.

192 AC - Myissa awoke with a fever in a dark cave. Naked and warm, a tatooed man marked her body with a sharp needle, drawing blood and winces from the girl. After several weeks, she conversed with the man in mannerism and mimicry, for her had no tongue she recognized. He showed her alchemical formula, potions, and magics, chanting in a dark speech that she did not understand, but whose incantations she memorized.

195 AC - Myissa finds hserself in Asshai and recalling her dreams, soon finds herself in the service of Rhollor. The Red Priests encourage her magics, retelling several prophecies that involved a Night Lion and a Lady of Light. The priests refer to Myissa in hushed, reverent tones as the Night Lion's Whore.

196-198 AC - Myissa travels to the West, visiting YI-TI's Yin by-the-sea, Mahraj, Great Moraq, Sothoryos with its strange beasts, southern cities of Ghiscar, past old Valyria, and finally resting upon the Summer Isles.

198 AC - Working as a sorceress and spiritual guide for some royal families in the Summer Isles, she encounters Khain. She finds him in the jungle, drawn there by some pull of destiny. There they form something of a relationship, and Myissa eventually offers what aid she can in helping kidnap a royal lady.

199 AC - She leaves the summer isles and returns to Lys, spreading the faith of Rhollor and gaining fame as both an expensive concubine and alchemical witch who whispers to flames.

200 AC - Fate brought her to the disputed lands, and there she encounters Khain again, assisting him with magics and antidotes as she's able. While Khain is off fighting wars, she is gathering wealth and a name as the Lady from Lys. In these days, strange skies are seen across the land. Shadows across the sun, scarlet moons, and flowers that bloom in blood.

200 AC - Dreams of dragons and terrors bring her to Westeros. Here, she seeks out knowledge of Cannibal from the remaining lines of the Rhyonar and Dornish peoples, making appearances with many Lords and Ladies of the region.

201 AC - The Red Mountains call to her, though Cannibal's location remains elusive. She travels north through the Reach and up to King's Landing, where she finds dragons of all kinds. Winged, scaled beauties, royalty with the familiar red and black of her dreams, and defeated bastards. Perhaps unsurprisingly, she also finds, Khain, her paramour of many years, and finds herself drawn once more to the aura the man possesses.
